Elections

Elections

Leadership matters and electing leaders who truly represent their communities is one of the most effective ways to enact just and equitable climate policies, protect our environment, and strengthen and defend our democracy. Through Maine Conservation Voters Action Fund, we get involved in electoral races where our work and issues can make the difference.

Education

Education

We know that the environment is not a partisan issue in Maine – it’s part of our way of life. Drawing on our policy expertise, political experience, and strategic partnerships, we cultivate and influence conservation champions across the State and on both sides of the aisle.

Endorsements

Endorsements are the foundation of our electoral work. Our team evaluates candidates based on their environmental records, stated positions, and ability and interest in taking a proactive leadership role in protecting our environment, climate, and democracy. To dig into these issues, MCV Action Fund relies upon responses to candidate questionnaires, candidate interviews, an in-depth analysis of the district, input from local advocates, and more.

Recognizing the critical importance of a representative democracy, MCV Action Fund is committed to endorsing candidates that are reflective of the diverse communities and identities across the State.

Campaigns

Our electoral efforts are strategically aimed at building a nonpartisan conservation majority in the Legislature.
