Why Hannah:

Hannah’s long track record of wins for Maine people and the environment is unmatched. She is a tested leader who has championed climate and clean energy and environmental health, repeatedly corporate and special interests to deliver results for Maine families.

Hannah is a fighter who knows how to get results. As a state legislator, Hannah fought powerful people and corporations and won, removing toxic chemicals from children’s products, lowering drug costs for Mainers, and protecting access to abortion rights.

As co-chair of the Maine Climate Council, Hannah led the creation of Maine Won’t Wait—a comprehensive state climate action plan that has helped Maine households cut costs and emissions. Under her leadership, Maine installed more than 100,000 energy-saving heat pumps years ahead of schedule, weatherized homes to cut emissions and reduce reliance on expensive, imported heating oil, and expanded homegrown clean energy and jobs.

Hannah Pingree will be a bold governor who puts people and the environment first. She’ll build on this progress and prepare Maine communities and the economy for the challenges ahead. She’ll stand up to federal attacks that put special interests ahead of people and a livable future for our climate, and she’ll fight every day to protect Maine’s environment, strengthen its economy, and secure a resilient future for families across the state.
