In the spring of 2017, Maine Conservation Voters partnered with the League of Conservation Voters to launch Climate Action Maine, a project of MCV, in order to mobilize educated voters to influence their legislators on environmental decisions and shape Maine’s political landscape for a better future.

Climate Action Maine is a field program dedicated to engaging Maine people in timely environmental issues that affect Maine’s natural resources, public health, and clean energy future. The goal is to elevate our volunteer organizing and issue campaigns through mobilizing Maine people and growing our membership.

Every week, our field organizers attend community events around the state, listening to the environmental concerns of Maine people and growing our grassroots connections.

Climate Action Maine engages our expanding network of activists and volunteers in phonebanking and canvassing efforts on key issues, local events and rallies that draw attention to the need for climate action, and additional work that encourages our elected officials to stand up for the environment.

By strengthening our collective conservation voice, we can have a more powerful response to attacks on Maine’s environment and ensure our values are heard clearly at the State House and in Washington, D.C.
