An Act to Regain Full Use of Maine Waters through the Establishment of Color Standards
Set new color standards for the Maine rivers in order to reduce pollution discharges from paper mills. Governor MecKernan introduced the bill, which was subsequently amended which weakened its provisions and was passed into law in its compromised form.
