DESCRIPTION:Clean energy goals are only meaningful if we can turn them into real projects that communities support. How do states move from policy commitments to actually building the clean energy infrastructure needed to lower costs, create jobs, and cut climate pollution?\nJoin us for a conversation with Kathleen Meil, Local Clean Energy Deployment Director at the League of Conservation Voters. Many in our community know Kathleen from her time at Maine Conservation Voters and as the longtime host of this Lunch & Learn series. In her role with LCV, MCV’s national affiliate, she works with state partners across the country to advance policies and local approvals that make responsible clean energy projects possible.\nKathleen will share what she’s seeing nationally as states work to accelerate renewable energy deployment and what those lessons might mean for Maine.
