Designed to make absentee voting harder, Question 1 would eliminate the two busiest days of the absentee voting period, end ongoing absentee voting for older voters and voters with disabilities, and make it more difficult to request and return an absentee ballot. These changes would disproportionately impact older adults, voters with disabilities, and residents in rural communities.\nThe coalition is working statewide to educate voters, mobilize support, and defend Maine’s accessible voting system.
